Session Theme: Paw Paws and Pollinators
Did you know that Pawpaw trees are the most northern tropical fruit tree in the world? Yankauer is covered in Pawpaw trees and September is the time to taste this delicious fruit. Join us in singing a Pawpaw song as we hike to the Pawpaw patch where we’ll find and taste some yummy Pawpaws! We'll discover the fascinating relationship between the pawpaw tree and the zebra swallowtail butterfly, whose caterpillars rely on pawpaw leaves as their host plant.
