Join us for a walk to see and enjoy the spring ephemeral wildflowers at the Trillium Trail!
Join wildflower enthusiast Kathy Bilton for a spring ephemeral wildflower walk at the Trillium Trail in the Thompson Wildlife Management Area, about an hour from Shepherdstown. This walk is scheduled to coincide with the famous and expansive bloom of the large-flowered trillium. Participants might also see other wildflowers, such as the yellow Lady Slipper.
Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. Children are welcome with adult accompaniment. An entire walk may take up to two hours, but participants may leave the group and turn back at any time. Please leave pets at home. And thank you for leaving the wildflowers for all to enjoy!
